There are integrated historical events in a fictional story. The idea is good and nowadays you can find probably no bookstore, which leads not historical novels.
However, what bothers me is that the book places is very long-winded. If you were to give me a red pen, I would emphasize completely one or the other side.
Of course, every little action to what is happening helps .... in my version would be kicked out at least twenty pages. Furthermore, I must confess that this genre really not talking to me. historical novels are not my cup of tea. I bought the book because of a recommendation, since I was told that there was also something for those who do not go so much to historical novels.
Nevertheless, I find that the author has done a good job. She has well researched and woven a good story to this framework of facts.
Whether I'm going to read "The Red Queen" is still probably in the stars. Too much pleasure I have honestly not say to "The White Queen", since Philippa Gregory, as stated striking out too far for my taste.
On the whole, I can recommend the book but all the people who love this genre and are interested in English history.
