"Pro:
- Large, very bright and viewing angle stable IPS display in Full HD
- Very fast chipset (dual core Exynos 5250 2.0GHz, quad-core GPU Mali-T604), no delays when browsing or PDFs, excellent "Schwuppdizität"
- Good workmanship, quality look and feel
- USB 3.0 connection
- Good sound quality from the speakers, very good sound quality via headphones
- Custom Rom "Inspiration" available with root and NTFS support, China-apps were removed
- Custom Rom "CyanogenMod" available (. Displaced including tablet UI, Dalvik cache, display can be more dimmed, but early beta stage)
- Root is also enabled in the original firmware from Voyo since 26.07.13, as NTFS support (read)
- Good wifi coverage
- Reset switch available (top left on the edge of the tiny holes in a pin or paper clip)
Cons:
- At the beginning of poor quality control at Voyo, characterized devices always came back with errors in the trade (dirt or hair below the display, dark spots on the display dents in the body)
- Doubtful original update process via SD card led to the destruction of some devices. When update also all user data are always overwritten (as in Fullwipe). But there are a CWM and TWRP recovery available (must be booted via SD card), with which the update can be done without risk - see below alternative update method.
- No recovery partition, no fastboot mode
- Even small errors and gaps in the software, the manufacturer shall affix but about a month a new version out
- Only 16bit color depth makes some curves and possibly movies / photos look scheckig
- Display can not be dimmed sufficiently
- USB connection is still very slow, even with USB 3.0 (approx. 2MB / sec)
- Volume and start buttons inconveniently placed side by side
- Kernel sources not previously published
Draws:
- High performance and a large display take their toll, the Voyo runs with a full charge of the battery 10.500mAh 3-7 hours (may be more comfortable if the display would further dim). It is to be expected that the battery life is increased by additional software optimizations.
- Rear panel is very stylish, but also quite easy to scratch ".
My own device is super processed, wobbles as rattles or nothing. Bought it at a German trader who unfortunately went bankrupt.
