The delivery was fast and the sandbox is neat and sensibly packed and protected against damage. The boiler pressure impregnated boards are ok but not very thick and therefore not made for eternity. Upon delivery they are wet, with me has so far (1 month) not warped. The boards are rough sawn on the cut edges, so I have them reground fine.
The assembly was not a major problem with the instructions and took with me as inexperienced handyman about 90 minutes (incl. 15 min sawn edges regrinding).
All in all a good product that will certainly last long enough that my daughter is previously quit sand games. One point deduction is available for the rough cut edges and something thin boards. I would take the sandbox in any case again.
Here are a few tips:
- A garden fleece as an underlay separates sand and soil clean and permeable to water from each other. If you compare the sandbox to the nonwoven and leaves a small overhang, can flow over the water, and the lower part of the sandbox dries well.
- If the box is going to be full, it takes 700 kg of sand. She is already filled reasonably high, 750 kg were too much for me, because it is then filled up under the seat boards.
- A cover protects against the dear cattle and also from rain. After the wood thus remains dry even after three weeks daily rain, I guess, that the wood is kept as even longer.
- The small plastic sandbox you could easily move even filled or put away for the winter. This was certainly not a disadvantage and is apparent with this sandbox impossible.
