The film arises starting from the width (top or bottom of the screen, I do not know). The problem is that with the slight safety clearance between the cutting and the actual size of the screen, it is easy to get to the end of the pose a little offbeat. So from the length (right or left side) certainly would limit the risk of diversion.
Once landed, the result is very good, not bubble (if we respect the set of the closed bathroom), it was a little flawed on a corner, but I use a silicone skin that covers the edges of the screen, so no problems in my case. The touch is not altered and rendering general is virtually invisible.
But proof that it is not obvious, or that I'm frankly not good (which is also very likely), I botched two films before getting there .... (I kept them because apparently it is possible to clean for reuse).
