LED light as it should be

We have purchased these LED lamps to replace the well-known 7 watt energy-saving lamps. The previously mounted in our kitchen on the countertop Recessed luminaires with 7 Watt ESL are just plain junk. Not only do these 7 W ESL far (as indicated) the luminosity of a conventional 40W lamp have (25 Watt sums it up more), and the durability was simply bad. Longer than about 2 years has not held, single doses even after three weeks on the mind, especially the expensive branded products.

So we dared to experiment with the LED lamps. And, we're thrilled. With only 6 W luminosity is overwhelming. Whether it really is as bright as a 50 W halogen lamp, I can not judge for lack of comparison. But compared to the 7 W ESL lighting it is a quantum leap. Finally you can potter about on a great illuminated worktop.

If the service life also holds now what the manufacturer promises, it's a great product. But that should indeed be no risk. The manufacturer is so confident of his product, which he gives 5-year warranty. This long warranty he would not concede when he would thus take a risk.

Addendum dated 16.03.2013

I still made the effort, and the light intensity compared directly on the countertop with a lux meter. Among the LED lights approximately 550 lux to be measured. On the opposite second working surface, which will be illuminated by the 7W ESLs, just 60 lux to be measured. That says it all.
