2. The LED itself is too bright, and the observation room is illuminated in my opinion too bright; the eye gets used to it though, but is written as a warning, do not look directly at the lamp on almost every LED flashlight. As an adult, I would not do this to me; Children even less. And the magnification factor is doing to increase the light intensity the rest.
Conclusion: Actually a great mini-plastic microscope to play and explore (and not just for the little scientists), due to the design deficiencies of the LED - to flash light, too far placed in the beam path of the lens - I can not safely for recommend children. Without this construction defect it would have been five stars.
