Did the woman previously never heard. Still, I was immediately impressed by this album. Mary Timony's short songs seem somehow intimate, her deep voice leaves a curious listen. With guitar, bass, viola, piano, keyboards and synthesizers she conjures up incredible melodies from his sleeve, which always have a melancholy-bizarre sound. Every now and then diving prog rock elements in the songs and if you do not expect, suddenly a synth melody takes command in order just as unexpected to fade into the background again. The sound of this album is warm, old-fashioned and somewhat eerie - at least build the many individual repetitive sound elements an enormous tension.
