Ok, as an industrial mechanic with 17 years of experience and RC helicopter pilot I have I think ;-) Well, at the same time the gyros must be balanced precisely using the enclosed weight plates - even that is harder than it sounds at first. Have out of the box on a solid hour tried the small particles to get to float - to no avail. So I've taken everything to work, provided there on a metal table and tried me with my colleagues on it. And after calming some time it has actually also works. The gyroscope floated free and clean a few inches above the base, and the long and a considerable time. An incredible effect that really brings to wonder if you can be fascinated by such things. Home then on a wooden table, the success was not reproducible. At the roundabout was not changed, the base properly aligned, but the centrifugal still wobbles out shortly after lifting the Lifterplatte from the magnetic field. Conclusion: The Levitron is an interesting thing and fascinated enormously, if you take it to work resp. Brought hovering. But that's much harder than it does appear.
