A DVB-S tuner 80cm, Full HD, 100Hz and mind: Because I wanted to use the LED TV in the bedroom as 2nd unit, were the criteria.. In addition, the device should be around 300EUR. All criteria were met by this device.
Since I have read me a few years a bit in the TV world, I am the last both in the circle as well as private due to P / L and private viewing habits LG customer. The transmitters order for some time is a disaster, so I was unfortunately known. Fortunately, the Internet knows to remedy this situation and a small but interesting tool called ChanSort helps a tremendous here.
So I started a full tuning and wanted the station list by now Hotel mode to a FAT32 formatted USB Flash memory drive and am the guidance of ChanSort as always followed. In the case, however, the guidance of the 2014 models (LB) has a small mistake allowed. To get to the corresponding menu, it was written there "press 8sec. To Q-menu, then" 1105 "+ OK". Did not work with me in the fall. But as I had it previously accomplished key with other devices with the "Settings", I tried it and lo and behold, we were in the desired menu.
Then configure the transmitter with the tool and transferred to the TV: DONE.
Since I operate the device via satellite and also feature a CI + module incl. HD + card exclusively use the HD channels, the LG does a great job here. The picture is even without complex calibration quite good to look at, so I simply save my time here. Since the device is just only used in the bedroom, which also plays a minor role.
I am completely satisfied and have included the channel sorting. Scan approx 15-20mins. required.
It should perhaps be mentioned that, the display somewhat reflected. But it is not as extreme as some Samsung models and even LG may "worse". Therefore, the device should not be exposed to the total solar radiation, a little goes but thoroughly. As a final point I would like to say that the internal tuner has a bit longer switching times, as that would be using an external receiver the case. Here you could deduct a 1/4 or 1/2 star. Even then it completes according to the rules of mathematics to yet. So 5 * :-)
I hope I could be a little help.
