The 36 AF-3 has fallen apart after me about two years simply. A cover of the joint came off and after a short time also the two metal brackets, which is responsible for the locking of the flash in various positions. In this respect, the lightning was thus almost unusable, at least for bounce flash. Overall, I found overly processed and of the feel somewhat rickety him. The same applies to the 36 AF-5, I indeed primarily renzensiere here. It works even moderately processed and overall a bit cheap, but it has a defect not.
The biggest drawback is that the flash can only pivot upwards, but will not turn sideways, so the use is very limited. So you can not glance at the ceiling, for example with vertical images, because the flash can be adjusted simply not so. Another (small) downside is the lack of a reflector card, but what is ok for the price.
Conclusion: A cheaper flash, but for the less demanding beginner, you should think twice about whether it would not be better taking a step and the Metz MB 44 AF-1 Canon Speedlight look times.
