After I saw "Starry Eyed" several times on various music channels and liked it better with each time, I got the album release in this country feverishly and bought the album directly. And that was without any doubt the right decision :)
Among the songs in detail:
1) Guns & Horses: beginning already directly enchanted Ellie the Zuhöhrer. The song is not yet uptempo ballad, but somewhere in between. And it brings the magic of Ellie's voice to best advantage. 7/10
2) Starry Eyed: Still my favorite song on the album. Once the song starts shallow, the chorus with a quite clubby beat is highlighted, the Ellies vote yet supported. My tip: boxing turning up! 10/10
3) This Love (Will Be Your Downfall): A mix of shallow sounds and beats, but offers no surprises and the song is a bit boring after some time therefore. 4/10
4) Under The Sheets: Ellie's first single in the UK is also a bit noisy therefore, at the beginning of a direct sounds a drum counter. But apparently seems Ellie order to get a good recipe, similar to Starry Eyed comes the rousing song and therefore cheer. 9/10
5) The Writer: A really beautiful ballad, at least here the audience is completely under the spell of Ellie. These really come beautiful lyrics. Well-chosen 3rd single release :) 10/10
6) Every Time You Go: Now it's something more towards Uptempo and even here Ellie can continue to convince. 8/10
7) Wish I Stayed: The proven recipe from start shallow and light beats. Meanwhile, not so surprising, but this song is not a failure. 6/10
8) Your Biggest Mistake: Here Ellie is accompanied by a guitar. Especially in the chorus their voice sounds great again! 8/10
9) I'll Hold My Breath: A little goes Ellie so slowly out of steam. Again, everything kept pretty quiet, yet little intoxicating. And for me personally is the song the least depend. 3/10
10) Salt Skin: Here you'll find a mixture of a kind of muted opera singing, a kind dudel beat that could have been one probably more in a 90-PC-Game suspects and a sometimes slightly harder vocals of Ellie. But the combination makes it, in the end it all sounds very harmonious. 7/10
A note for the tracklist: It's really, really a pity that the title song "Lights" is not ... because the song is undoubtedly best Ellie! This would be a 5 star for the album penetrate beings. Pity!
All in all, Ellie Goulding an album for fans of shallow music, you want to get into these traps, enjoy and let yourself be enchanted by it easily. But be careful: A musical "wow" effect, as it is a bit more present in Starry Eyed, not be found otherwise. The music takes time to take effect, but if you did it, then you can be completely satisfied.
