Customer Review

Wallander in the family, I asked nothing. Nothing more than the tired inspector, worn but tenacious. And I worried a bit about the intrusion of her daughter in this story. And here I am happily surprised and at the same time, with Mankell, I should not have worried. Because like father, like daughter, and for now, the meeting between the two individuals is rewarding. They are so similar to their character grumpy, father and daughter, their nerves on edge, and so different at the same time. Family history sticks to their skin and hinders simple relationship between them. It slips quickly. And when it comes to investigating side by side, it is not easy either. The both operate on instinct, defend their territory from where conflicts. Not to forget the plot. Again, Mankell is strong. And with great skill and subtlety. We can not say more without risking deflower the subject. This is a cult story. It is the past that hinders the future. And always despair of consumer societies who use consumers through with their dreams and their beliefs. Mankell and leads us to the end of the night. No way to let go of the book before the end. And I look forward to later. And without fear. Unlike many other authors, with time, the desire remains strong while with others (for example Patricia Cornwell), lassitude prevails.
