Like the surfers who were enthusiastic (to the point of writing their opinion to 3/4 of the book), I came out this book completely enthralled by this story, no dead time in the prestigious Yellowstone National Park! The character of Cody Hoyt (overdue as it is in AA and therefore tries to stop drinking) is endearing, his human qualities, prevailing over his faults (and who does not?). The story is actually based on that pursuit Cody (and a bit of "Bull" Mitchel) a hike of 12 people in Yellowstone (to experience the joys and difficulties of life without modern conveniences, such is the goal of responsible Jed McCarthy) thinking that there is a killer in the expedition, including his son Justin is part, while .... (I will not say more here would spoil your fun!) . There are so many positive things to say, it would take much room to remove the flawless mechanics of story that keeps you going along the 492 pages. the final sentence of Cody Hoyt: "I promised Larry" is a worthy conclusion to this book (you will understand why I can not say more about this final reply). Read this book, it is worth a visit and I will hasten to order 1 or 2 CJ Box (except "Lightning Skies" which is said to be not very successful, as what the advices have to my eyes). (PS: I got lucky with my last three books, this one, "Dr. Sleep" S. King "May she rest in peace" by J. Kellerman). RickN.
