Recently we had for many years a Duracraft (Honeywell) air purifier with HEPA filter system.
This was now getting on in years, and thereby also the noise had changed, and he had simply become too loud on the lowest setting.
We use the air purifier in the nursery, so to me the noise (night mode) is very important.
Here the Beurer LW 110 can clear points.
The Beurer provides a uniform fan noise.
At level 1 it is really very quiet, for my taste, you can even run it at night on stage 2 without being disturbed.
Stage 3 is then a little louder but still not disturbing during daytime operation.
The Beurer rotates about the pulleys "Befeuchtungsscheiben" by the water reservoir.
This process is, except the fan noise imperceptible.
Quite different here behaved a "Venta air washer", which I had once bought years ago and because of that unpleasant (for me) operating noise, I had this returned.
Even otherwise, the Beurer makes qualitatively a very good impression.
Workmanship and design I find perfectly.
Commissioning is certainly not a problem even for technically unexperienced people.
The filling of the water tank and the onset of Befeuchtungsscheiben is very simple.
Water tank and Befeuchtungsscheiben can incidentally be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Beurer recommends a 14-day cleaning.
Within this interval just have only water is added (incl. 5 drops sanitizer / 1L water).
1 bottle of sanitizer and 1 bottle cleaners are included.
Operation.
The Beurer has a clear LCD display with blue backlight.
Here you can see the water level and the fan speed.
In the cover sits the on / off button and the button for the fan control.
If the printer is plugged to the Beurer remembers the last setting the fan speed and starts when again with this.
In case of low water level, the device switches off automatically.
For my taste, the blue backlight of the display is a bit too bright.
In night mode this must surely be very.
But that is the only criticism I have, and perhaps a matter of taste.
The electricity consumption.
With today's electricity prices has certainly this aspect in mind, but at the Beurer that's not a real issue.
I measured with my ammeter following consumption:
Level 1 approx 19 Watt
Level 2 about 23 watts
Level 3 about 34 watts
At an electricity price of 22 cents / KWh thus the Beurer at level 2 consumed in 12 hours of operation for about 6 cents stream.
One tip; but by the marked increase in humidity in the room should you look for in winter to mold growth.
Especially on cold exterior walls and pane condensed here significantly more water, which favors the formation of mold (also in clean households) ...
Conclusion:
For me, the Beurer is nearly perfect in its actual function.
The impression of quality and functioning raise hope for an undisturbed operation.
The necessary (all such devices) purification was greatly simplified.
I can recommend the Beurer LW 110 with a clear conscience!
Addendum 07.12.2012:
We now use the Beurer over 1 year.
The unit operates with absolute reliability and has never been problems.
The sounds have not changed, it is no louder than on the 1st day.
