+ Very flat design, thus little bending of the wrists
+ Very stable in shape
+ Pad is very easy to clean, it is sufficient lint-free cloth and water. Cleaners were never needed.
+ Is reliable and accurate (that operates in conjunction with Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000)
+ Rubberized bottom -> as good a pad with me has never been held in the working area, despite the rather rough textured desk surface.
+ Sometimes to detect any signs of wear on the surface.
+ Surface of the pad: rather rough structure, but no effect on the skin (chafed, or similar ... I had in fact already in a pad made of hard plastic)
+ Very good sliding the mouse ... if the surface is clean ;-)
- No negative points
-> The part is (m) an absolute recommendation value! I'm going to on occasion even an order for home!
Update 08.04.2011:
Meanwhile, I've the pad about 8 months in continuous use ... and had it now sometimes cleaned with cleaning agents. With water then goes away but not everything. The mouse seemed sometimes to "jump" and was somewhat inaccurate. I simply display cleaner (without alcohol, eg for TFT's) plan gesprührt and wiped with a cloth, goes perfectly again. My recommendation is to continue no negative points!
Update 08.12.2011:
The mouse pad still works perfectly. No signs of wear, no peeling of the surface or rubberized bottom. SteelSeries has done everything right ... I tip my hat.
Update 05.10.2012:
Still perfectly. To detect minor wear and tear (slightly shiny surface), but does not affect the function. Since justifies the real price, most of my old pads were worn out after a maximum of 6 months. If you add together (the expense of buying new times left out), it has already paid for itself!
Update 04/03/2015:
The pad is still impeccable. The slightly shiny surface remains constant and does not affect the function. Even the bottom side with the rubber pads has no visible wear. That it so long by holding I really would not have believed! Have now also a home (+ one on reserve, as it was on offer again: D), but not long abbekommt the rigors of everyday working life. Respect the manufacturer!
PS: a tip ... if the pad slips times over the desk, dust is adhering to the rubber pads on the bottom. Since the rubber rather adheres well to the desk area, unfortunately, are also liable dust and lint off well. I always taking a microfiber cloth with warm water (just as well as at the top) and then dry it off on my jeans. I'll pull it just briefly about my thighs.
Different towels (tea towels, paper towels, ...) often leave more dirt than you previously removed.
