Made (good) work but no more

First meal (Navarrin) made with low temperature in the slow cooker. Works fine and tender and tasty meal. Has yet to be tested in high temperature. This is a real crock, that it simmers at relatively low temperature, in consequence of not cook, input or brown the food in the pan before you start simmering. The meat and / or onions for example must be entered in a skillet before being added. This is costing the 5th star but it is announced and thus not a surprise, just a personal disappointment compared to my previous slow cooker that also allowed to enter / brown directly before starting the simmering (= less dishes). In summary: Slow Cooker that does its job pity she did not make a bit more. That said, good quality / price ratio in the light of other devices which remain as competition in this segment.
