Madonna * made * you dance because you probably can not even say from today's perspective that "You Can Dance" is a so-called dance album. Sure, in the 80s it was determined danceable (as I remember dark), and the programming was progressive for its time. Today I would so bring it to the point: "You Can Dance" is a retrospective pop album, which is characterized by very catchy melodies of known (Holiday, Into The Groove) and not so famous (Over And Over, Where's The Party) Madonna Songs distinguished - but no doubt all true pop gems - which merge into one long remix together. Well, except for a small break, the proves that the album was produced at a time when even 2 sides of a disc have been described. Not a must in the record collection, but if you want to get an overview of Madonna's early work and preserved by the present ambitions to make danceable pop music, I can recommend this CD for the drive in the holiday gene sunny south anytime :-)
