DEVIL PRAY
A great song, the acoustic initially starts, in which then a kind of Irish folk melody superadded to eventually drift into an oriental-inspired dance beat. Great Lyrics, very ambitious produced, sung outstanding. A masterpiece!
GHOST TOWN
An emotional, vocally great song that describes a threatening relationship scenario, excellently sung, great written, arranged atmospherically dense and dynamically sound. A perfect, goosebumps conferring ballad.
UNAPOLOGETIC BITCH
Here Madonna ignites from a real Reggae fireworks. Rhythmically knocking drums, an irresistible chorus, some vuvuzela trumpets and a cool reggae guitar breathe this song a special atmosphere.
ILLUMINATI
Another unusual, exciting song, which acts consciously cool. Very basslastig wummernd, between demanding percussion and deep propeller noise, total filtered and dirty acting. A very interesting, gloomy and innovative track.
BITCH, I'M MADONNA
What is this song not everything? The track, which polarized the most is a Dubstep / Trance / R & B number that is bored at any point. The vocals deliberately pitched, the Dubstep Parts even offer one or the other innovative location. First used to, become indispensable!
HOLD TIGHT
Impulsive, spherical, slightly mystical, exciting and still modern. For this an irresistible chorus, with great reverberation.
JOAN OF ARC
Here Madonna sings with a beautiful, clear voice about their public perception and brings the vulnerability related to the expression that suggests you meet with some criticism. The song starts acoustically, deviates by 39 seconds a compact and simple mid-tempo rhythm, which is repeatedly interrupted by the stand-alone acoustic guitar. Great and intimate sung!
ICONIC
Mike Tyson and Chance The Rapper are two guests in this corner. At least 4 musical acts in a single song, and a production that is second to none! Dance time, sometimes hip hop, R & B times. Strong chorus, strong Bridges, Madonna's voice every act fits perfectly. Here everything is right! Gripping and bombastic!
HEARTBREAK CITY
A broken love and the deep hurt are the starting point for this outstanding, partly moody ballad. A piano, some marching music, Madonna's great voice in a mixture of melancholy and powerful heat. A great ballad!
BODY SHOP
This song reminds me of songs from the world music genre (Manu Chao) and it goes well with Madonna, especially to their frequently used deep voice. A once ambiguous, quite humorous text completes this song. It sounds exciting, hilarious, sometimes serious, sometimes exhilarating, sometimes solemn. Beautifully!
HOLY WATER
Another song, the splits. Very arranged minimalist and cool, it develops after repeated listening its full strengths. In some places the song sounds very pleasant dark and menacing. A small 'Vogue' reference also adds on. Exciting! One can discover it for yourself if you want.
INSIDE OUT
One of my personal highlights on the entire album. A downright thrilling piece of music embedded in changing moods, a timeless chorus, a mostly gloomy Arrangement, a special sound depth. "Pull me closer, Full Disclosure" - how great this line is sung at the beginning but to pick out just one example. Inside Out - an irresistible, ambitious masterpiece!
WASH ALL OVER ME
Another ballad that sounds very atmospheric and is confidently sung, the theme of the marching sounds can be found here again. One problem, however, there. Towards the end of the song is the dreaded 'loudness war' a, Madonna's voice, and the very successful string arrangement are at the same volume and thus appear partly overridden. Too bad. Unlike the other songs you would have heard this little quieter.
BEST NIGHT
A beautiful song that reminds me of the 'Bedtime Stories' album. A mysterious package from R & B and Urban, provided with deep bass and Madonna's erotic voice. In the background there is a restrained oriental theme. As one would conjure a snake. In my top 5!
VENI VIDI VICI
Here, Madonna cited cleverly itself and tells its story using some of their song titles after. On one hand, acoustic, on the other hand danceable. Something that Madonna has always ruled with style - change of pace and variety. In addition, Nas is heard in the song to his rap are joined triumphant, drying Fanfarenklänge! 'I came, I saw, I conquered'! Definitely!
SEX
A lesson in sexology. In an ironic way Madonna plays with her image. A turgid, erotic R & B tune is heard, a xylophone, whispers and moans, everything very directly. Anyone open to sinister drum 'n' bass sounds, is in this song have some fun. Similar to 'Best Night' has a pleasant lounge character also this song. I like it!
MESSIAH
A worn, stylish piano ballad that also of 'Like A Prayer' could have come. Simply arranged, reverently, melancholic and elegant singing. Vocally again very big! Finally it is again very orchestral. Very nicely done!
Rebel Heart
A rather self-critical, personal song that works very well because it is very dense, authentic and charming arranged and here the guitar is in the foreground. The song is pleasantly entertaining and concludes the Deluxe Edition.
BEAUTIFUL SCARS
A bit 70s (Studio 54), a bit 90s. Fits very well together and is lyrically also beautifully written, sung very pleasant. Here lies a really good catchy!
Borrowed Time
Another song in which the acoustic guitar is superficial. In some places, sounds Madonna's voice a little too loud recorded, but now is not a very big shortcoming. The guitar part reminiscent of The Cardigans. A beautiful song that is quickly accessible.
ADDICTED
A rock guitar (sounds like grunge to best times) opened the song, Madonna's voice very demanding 'Between the ingenious rock sounds quite modern EDM Beat happens, the first is used to, but the song still does not detract. Strong number! Powerful!
GRAFFITI HEART
A delightfully upbeat synth homage to Madonna's companion Basquiat and Keith Haring. 'Love is pain and paint is art' 'Genial!
