The "things" are more stable than they appear, when you consider that it is the material to plastic ... Even though I have had concerns, none has been destroyed by the clamps yet. They sit very tight and a sufficient really! Incidentally, they also use very well, so that the Mag-Lite not to "a slope" roll away when depositing! Scratches I have in my flashlight still not found!
