Maglite 4D Cell Upgrade

Although there is certainly for this price to purchase complete torches, I am completely satisfied with this LED upgrade.
The module provides 3 watts, which represents about 25% saving compared with the krypton bulb previously used.
The lamp can be greatly focussed, resulting in a greater range than with LED Flashlights with lens technology (approximately the same light output provided) concerns.

As excellent as the lamp as a spotlight is also under the lights (wide light), the core remains dark! - Unfortunately.
But this can not be held responsible, the product, here the design of the Mag is to complain about.
The lens technology here has the nose far in front.
However bleit even with spot light close range not completely in the dark, but the contrast between light u. Dark Zone, due to the enormous brightness of the LED, grvierend. To read under the covers the lamp is good certainly not (Mag's can not be dimmed.) But as a substitute for a real searchlight is always good -. Only considerably more expensive LED bulbs are better.

Whether the promised, up to 30,000 hours of operation can be achieved, I'll never know.

Oh, one more thing:
Never look directly into the lamp - your eyes may damage inverter !!
The glare may seem shocking!
In my opinion, includes a flashlight, which is equipped with this product away from children!

Addendum:
The module is very warm (hot) - I wanted to convert my bicycle headlights also, but as is the base of the lamp receptacle of plastic here, I have no need for a replacement of existing halogen bulb because of heat stress.
