I wanted to have a record 2.1 home theater at an affordable price, while maintaining a "hi-fi" quality for listening to music (CD or mp3). And there is simply magnificent: the sound is also good when you watch a Bluray that when listening to music (all genres). The sound effects in soundtracks as instruments totaled listening to an incredibly transparent and clear manner !! By volume, the sound literally immerses the entire (large) living room !! For those who wonder whether these speakers "sound good" on another amp that the brand HARMAN KARDON, I can tell you that YES, no problem !! Attention must, however, have a subwoofer, otherwise the sound may lack depth ... I have an older amp YAMAHA Audio / Video 50 watts and a subwoofer of the same brand. Eventually I plan to acquire an amp HARMAN KARDON, but for now I am very satisfied with the rendering of these speakers on my amp. Especially for the price, it's really not an investment, and the rendering is much better than other systems. So I highly recommend !!
