Worst of all for me was that the book an important quality characteristic of the earlier volumes is missing: the sense of humor! Especially in City of Bones almost every sentence of Jace's mouth but was a sarcastic remark, a pun or a joke. Although this has sometimes let him easily "cartoon-like", but it was one of the reasons why I like him so had! After a bit whiny worked in COFA, he is now really reached the nadir: He has become boring. As long as he is under Sebastian's influence, he is anyway only a shadow of himself, and as soon as he can once rid of it, he babbles around forever or are trashy stuff by himself. The other people create most of the time no more than spread the love half-heartedly together and otherwise ever to discuss - the jokes you could really count on one hand! (And they are of a quality à la: Magnus can not remember the name of Simon and calls him therefore Shermin or Shelvin or so ... as if he did not know Simon for several volumes ?!)
Very annoying I found Sebastian. The actually had the potential to be a complex, multi-faceted character: At some point I was not even sure if he was not generally misunderstood and still could turn out well. But then it happened - for me an absolute no-go in romantasy

He tried to rape Clary. Seriously, what have so many female authors merely with these eternal near-rape scenes ?! This can probably show well, in which the heroine is of a bad situation and what is the man for an absolutely bitter evil bad guys, but I find something just awful to read, let alone in a youth book, which mainly be entertaining wants , In City of Glass there was already this disgusting scene with the demon who wanted to push its tentacles in Aline's trousers - because I have already taken to the head. And now a demonic guy who wants to rape his sister? No thanks.

And then the end. Anyone who does not want to spoil the surprise, is no longer more to this comment: In my opinion, the end was just plain stupid.
(Now AGAIN gespoilert): Even after it became clear that Clary and Jace are no siblings, it was difficult to understand why they do not finally wanted to sleep together. This is not just my personal opinion, but it can not find from history: Finally Clary Jace wanted to take after her very first kiss in Volume 1 with in her room, but was prevented by Simon it. In volume 4 which was then out hesitated with a vengeance by Jace had strange demonic impulses, and in Volume 5, he was a puppet of Sebastian, so although Clary exchanged passionate kisses with him, but can once it would be "more" come, thought they scared: Oh, that's not really my Jace ...! So after this problem has been solved, they could at last take the next step in their relationship, right? But no: Jace was pierced by a sword angel and is from now on Skyfire STUFFED so he could thereby accidentally ... Flaring Clary or so !!? Gentlemen. Since I was so Edwards concerns before his first time with Bella still logical.

That this series was really good times and through the use of old, formerly very loveable characters a bit which is still being felt by this quality, there are of me just three stars. Now I am left to 2014 period, me worrying about whether it will succeed with Cassandra Clare the last book to pull the cart out of the mud ... or whether this series will be the stream go down permanently.
