Installation and commissioning are simple: the mounting plate from the housing turn, attach it to the ceiling using the screws and dowels, for five seconds on the housing surface ("test button") until the beep is heard (which is really loud!) - That's it. Anyone who wants to can protect the smoke detectors from accidental disengagement from the mounting plate - by locating pin, which is to break out from the mounting plate and is inserted laterally on the housing.
Then according to the manufacturer to its ten years of peace - unless it smokes. Fire or heat does not recognize these detectors, but no fire without smoke very early. So the shrill warning scares time on unsuspecting residents. The alarm can be deactivated by pressing the test button on for ten minutes, the detector will then automatically returns to the alarm mode when fumes still be recognized.
In the waking state, the detector is also here by a short red flash every few minutes that it is running. This blinking does not bother me so much as the simple makes and is therefore also suitable for bedrooms, in my view. My absolute recommendation!
