In contrast to the product "Up to 83MB / s read, up to 45MB / s write," says on the box "30MB / s write, 60MB / s Read" - as a sticker of "45MB / s write, 90MB / s Read" pasted over , In fact, the memory card is in a Canon EOS 50D noticeably slower (much!) As my 2 year old SanDisk Extreme IV (45MB / s). The Amazon product description is directed well by the technical specification on the manufacturer's website. The label suggests that the card now is slower than in the past - this would also explain the recent positive reviews. Conclusion: I'll return the card and yet order the more expensive 16GB SanDisk Extreme (60MB / s).
Update: The SanDisk Extreme 16GB 60MB / s (Sandisk Compact memory card Extreme 16GB 60MB Edition (Retail Packaging) Flash) arrived today and after a brief test in the Canon EOS 50D (RAW images), I can say that it is definitely much faster than Transcend 16GB 400x (Transcend Extreme Speed 16GB CompactFlash (CF) memory card 400x). The other reviews for Transcend CF card I can not understand.
