In 1994 Nasir Jones his debut album "Illmatic", that still counts as a Classic / milestone of the East Coast rape today. 14 years later Nas is now with his now 9th studio album, also the second release under Def Jam, in the starting blocks. For many months makes the album a stir because Nas titled the album originally with the controversial title "nigger", but now the album has no name but is published as "Untitled". Nas was able to pick up some good people into the studio to "Hip Hop Is Dead" for his 15 track strong successor album. Productions there on "Untitled" by, inter alia, Polow Da Don, Stargate, DJ Green Lantern, Cool & Dre and DJ Toomp and also guest appearances by, inter alia, Busta Rhymes, The Game, Chris Brown or Keri Hilson can more than see. In April this year we were given the first taste in the form of "Be a Nigger Too" to hear this song is now but not the way the album, but we loved it the first Oficial single "Hero" with Keri Hilson. Polow Da Don controls here a grandiose Beat at the Nas with his skill on the mic gives that little bit extra and Keri Hilson sets it all off with her dreamy soulful singing the crown. But now start from the beginning because there we get a sort of intro song called "Queens get the money" offered which manages completely without beat and Nas Flowt here already powerful and is accompanied only by a great piano melody. Then you could listen for hours, but 2:12 minutes we will already with "You can not stop us now" on. A smoother song about Nas raps very casual and Blues elements great complement to the good beat. In "Make the World Go Round", a trio has found, because Nas, Game and Chris Brown all make a great job and to an outstanding Beat by Cool & Dre, who was co-produced by The Game. Stargate was in "America" at the controls and Schuff here a wonderful song, the VA through its thoughtful and sometimes sad atmosphere scores and of course the chorus, which is sung by a female voice. "Sly Fox" is reminiscent of the style of the title track, "Hip Hop Is Dead" from the previous album of the same name, because here we get drums until you drop and brilliant electric guitar riffs, which makes the whole song daherkomemn somewhat rocky. "Testify" is a rather calmer song that stands out for chilling elements and a slow but forceful beat. DJ Toomp cared for "Nigger (The Slave And The Master" a hammer Track, which acts as a sort of anthem for his strings in the background and Nas Lyrics are here just succeeded. "We're not alone" is again a thoughtful and calmer Song, the auftrumpft with a wonderful piano melody that somewhat dampened kept in the background and the singing of Mykel the chorus invites you to sit back and dream. In the end, we go again well off with "Black President". A little faster Drums still form once a top beat and voice samples of 2Pac form, inter alia, with the chorus, made really cool the whole. Finally remains to say the wait for Nas's new "Untitled" album has more than paid off for the 34-year Queensbridge rapper gives us here a masterpiece from with a variety of productions, excellent lyrics about racism, inequality, poverty, power and the whole mixed with a bit of political and religious elements, and of course perfect Skillz on the mic. Best East Coast album so far this year and therefore must for all hip hop fans.
