Material retrogression under technical "progress"

Compared to the pre-production shaving (and I have been through all versions since Sixtant in the 60's), in particular the Series 7 is the Cooltec CT5cc for me a step backwards:
1. The shaving foils Although still movably supported not replace the now missing mobility of the entire shaving head. I understand that this is a concession to the cooling unit, which is positioned as a solid block in the middle. Just so has suffered as the adaptability of the shaver to the contours of the face that reminded me of the old Sixtant era.
2. The skin cooling may already be an innovation, I have not really noticed the advantage over the Series shaving. For this purpose, the shaver significantly heavier (795cc: 218 gr, CT55cc: 282 gr). That the battery in Cooltec 45 min. By holding over 50 min. In the 795cc is not as critical, but with cooling there are acc. Details 15 min. (Which is not in the advertising ...), effectively lit after the 2nd shave with the cooling request to reload. The cooling is of course a power-hungry - let's see how long the battery LiIo withstand the high current load. If the (also as with other LiIo) makes about 300 charge cycles limp, then a new Cooltec shaving head cartridge for tender price of 35 EUR is due. Add to that a battery change through retailers .... then I can probably look around for 1-2 years just after a new razor. Sustainability is different ...
3. The cleaning station has been slimmed down not only tactile and unwieldy, because the cartridge change has now shifted to the rear. So the station lift, pick and rotate forward. With (almost empty) cartridge no problem, but with the full and the Note, not tilting ..... In addition, one has the active (heat) save drying of the shaving head of the Series 7 entirely, one leaves it to the physics of self-drying , Alas, it takes out the razor too early the cleaning station (a few hours. Wait acc. Manual), then you have the same wet, alcoholic smelling fingers.

The well-intentioned innovation of skin cooling has not really convinced me ... looks to me more like an own goal from Braun'sches. Along with the "cheapening" of the material implementation at almost the same street price is killing me already in the vicinity of a faulty purchase. Therefore, only 2 stars.
