For one, it was still too cold to read book on the beach in a deckchair ...

Otherwise, for me it was the relativity of the Chinese, and now it is a little less. At least I know what it's about.
It should nevertheless have some scientific mind to understand a minimum.
But the examples are well chosen and easy to imagine, and patterns are good too.
