Unfortunately, these MBA's the 6G SATA interface were not fully exploited by the use of the built-up of Apple Samsung 3G SSD's.
but I wanted a fully exploit more space and b, the SATA interface:
OWC Mercury Aura Pro Express 6G 240GB net capacity is the solution.
And also available at Amazon in D.
Easy ordering, processing fleet and good delivery of Memory C from Ireland via DHL.
Original OWC goods in sealed box including 2 screwdriver.
The OWC SSD Blade has nominally 240GB capacity-the 16GB waste serve as a buffer for defective cells etc ...
Lt.OWC no Trim support necessary as the controller used SanForce uses its own techniques.
Opening the MBA's and exchange of SSD blades thanks to the special screwdriver a breeze.
Before the existing data to an external USB disk cloned (SuperDuper), booted it.
After that, the 240GB SSD and installed by the ext. USB disk back cloned.
Be sure not to remove the gum-like Gummifleckerl on the SSD Blade - serves as a heat sink to the aluminum base.
Done.
Good performance: the conversion is possibly overkill - but I wanted first of more space to an acceptance. Price. (??)
Geekbench 2 values: 6034 - HW Stress Test: 6329th
Otherwise the OWC bolt behaves inconspicuously - no dropouts and errors. The system behaves properly and I can
work fast and seamless etc..
In a normally priced MBA 13 "without any discounts even this upgrade with more than 400 would be a right overkill.
But under the circumstances, the total price is ok.
Note: the rated OWC SSD ONLY bolt fits in the 2010s and the 2011 MacBook Air's (whether 3G or 6G interface)
unfortunately no longer in the new 2012 MBA's who are just came out!
There, the manufacturer has abgeändert- the plug-in interface
thus fit the "old" Blades - whether from Apple or OWC no longer pure!
