I have a MacBook Air SSD together and what can I say. The speed difference is enormous. So Windows7 including new SSDs ordered.
Only stupid that most SSDs "format and the PC's 3.5" drive bays in 2.5 have. So ordered shortly convenient installation kits.
The kits themselves consist of a simple adapter plate 3.5 "to 2.5". Cheaply made, but fit. In addition, screws, a power adapter cable and a SATA cables are included.
The adapter plate fits well with the 2.5 "Samsung SSDs. The holes provided for fixing the PC did not fit with me but all. I was able to use only 2 of the 4 screw holes. Too bad. As was clearly not thought along.
But no matter, the SSDs are lightweight and have indeed no motors causing vibration or movement.
Of the power adapters but I would stay away !! These are extremely poorly made and do not sit right under certain circumstances to the power supply lead. The pins are movable and worked the plug too imprecise. For me it took care of one of my old hard drives for a short circuit. The plug was not properly engaged and it must have come to a fault current. HDD over :(
Very annoying. And no, I'm not too stupid to press together. I'm doing this for years myself and also part-time at an IT company. Is never happened to me. Anyway, I recommend to the connectors of the power supply. The adapters are just cheapest goods.
Overall, the installation kits do what they should. They hold small hard disks in large housing.
But those who expect high-quality products should where to buy otherwise. The price is just ok like this.
