The album is certainly pleasant to listen, true to what we can expect from this group but hoped lenvoûtement fades to the plays. A bit like the previous 'With Us Untill You're Dead', this album certainly contains good times with melodies and sounds typical of the group (note a long session of remarkable bells), unfortunately also contains some passages more inconsistent, sluggish and boring indeed.
In short, AXIOM is not a summit; say it is a glider which is struggling to rise, and that is, in any case, well below a 'Controlling Crowds I & II' rich, long and textured, which remains their last great album by date 2014 .
If you like Archive, do not deprive yourself of "AXIOM" there is good. Just do not expect it here the best.
