Something like that is the formula, but in a weakened form of the style of their last two studio albums. In addition to their debut, I find this album with the weakest of Björk, with their debut still had two big moments we examine this in vain. The gripe is Björk's music is at a high level because generally above average, but it was with such milestones as "Homegenic" or "Vespertine" spoiled in the past so that this album is simply poor compared. Is it more art project, training tool, or music? Everyone needs to decide for themselves, but if I evaluate Biophilia purely musically "Crystalline" and raise "virus" positive forth. Where "Crystalline" is really well done, the song structure is very special and the song builds steadily on. "Mutual Core" is also worth listening to because the organ and the aggressive beats in harmony despite opposites. "Cosmogony" reminds with its majestic horns very similar to the sound world of Volta, only the atmosphere is even more spiritual than on the predecessor. "Dark Matter" and "Hollow" could be Medulla bonus tracks, just not as good. "Solstice" is also so minimal as the previous songs, but it just sounds more melodic and beautiful. Just as "Moon" a nice, but trivial entry into the album was being "Solstice" a pleasant, shallow completion. "Sacrifice" is about the revenge of nature and I hope that I the next album by Björk no thoughts of revenge have. Appreciation (O6 / 1o)
