These hopes have only partially fulfilled, in the following I will try to explain why:
Graphics:
+ Beautiful character models and animations, especially in dialogues see the characters incredibly detailed, you could literally count the pores
+ Beautiful surroundings graphics
+ Detailed textures ...
- ... Which unfortunately aufploppen very obvious, of spongy-blurred to detail
- If a lot is going on on the screen are small and large stuttering not uncommon
Sound:
+ Good sound, to explosions that sound of music all in class.
+ Very good German language edition.
Gameplay:
+ Great Dialogue System
+ Freedom of choice
Has + Selectable life story of the main character that affect gameplay
+ Main story very well done
- The Mass Effect universe is not nearly as large and deep, as announced previously. One can only on a fraction of the planet, which you see on the galaxy map, land.
- The planet, which can be explored (outside the main story), all look much the same. They consist of barren landscapes, scattered buildings and downed spacecraft. The various buildings look very similar on the inside, because I would have liked a bit more variety.
- Squad-control could have been solved better
- Some terms are explained neither in the game nor in the manual
Long-term motivation:
+ You can start with his character and level up yet or it further
+ Unlockable achievements that bring also bonuses in the game with it
+ The fact that you have many decisions to make the incentive to play through it again and to do things differently rises
- Short main story. I was quite taken aback when I was suddenly in front of already last boss.
Conclusion:
Mass Effect is a very good RPG that is not as big and epic as it was advertised in advance. A few small but significant minuses dampen the positive overall impression.
I give four stars because I think ultimately outweigh the positive aspects, and I had a lot of fun with Mass Effect and would have.
