- Due to their rather slow autofocus camera is definitely not a snapshot camera.
- Videos are also no strength of the camera. The slow autofocus makes itself felt here as well. He also needed there is always something more to comply.
+ For those that like me through a lens with fixed focal length (EOS 100 - 50mm / 1.4) was socialized, is a different approach to photography. To me it is not so important if I miss so many photo that I then can make other recordings for which are not possible with other cameras / lenses.
The X-M1 definitely has the potential to appeal to me in the long run. In the quality of previous recordings of buying a fixed focal length is - probably 35mm - definitely planned. However, only when I have dealt more with the functions of the camera.

+ The processing of the camera makes a very good impression, and also the kit lens seems well made.
++ The kit lens I get shooting indoors without flash in ISO 3200 on which no appreciable noise is visible, and who left me speechless.
++ In general, I find the picture quality is excellent.
+ The controls are logically laid out and make sense.
- Only store a programmable button next to the Fn key to exposure values and focal length, I've missed.
+ In contrast to the reviews has moved no dial with me.
+ The rotatable around its own axis LCD display has a good resolution and quality,
+ And so makes some recording at all possible, without having to contort themselves.
+/- Once the sunlight was reflected so that the light from multiple directions met on the display. Because of course I could no longer see on the display.
+ So far I always thought that really clearly structured setting menus are a special domain of Canon. The X-M1 has definitely taught me a lesson here. There is actually still an increase.

Conclusion: Anyone looking for a camera that is not buckling even at high ISO speeds, and has a really good recording quality, is very well cared for at this camera. The slow autofocus bothers me not so much, but I prefer this from a star. Maybe Fujifilm sets with the successor to the X-M1 here after yes.
Should you have any questions about specific points of my review, so I answer that like in the comments.
Should I still notice something negative or positive, so I'll mention this here.
