Basically I appreciate the functionality and size of the device. To integrate a card reader and 3-port USB hub on a such a small area is remarkable.
My SD and micro SD cards were all impeccably recognized and also transfer data within their means.
The integrated cable I think already makes sense, it makes the device but of course less portable than desired.
Unfortunately, it is obviously not possible to use both card slots simultaneously. I think this is a not to be underestimated disadvantage because you can copy so neither from card to card yet at the same time can read 2 cards. Apparently many card readers from various suppliers have this limitation of functionality. EasyAcc describes this also clearly so in the product description, so you need before buying to consider whether a function of the double-reading is important or not.
As the biggest drawback for me but the USB 3.0 has proven compatibility. Nowhere in my computer (Windows 7 HP, Windows 7 Ultimate, Vista) the HUB has been correctly recognized as a USB 3.0 device. The transfer rates do not support proper USB 3.0 connection. Even an external SSD that provides otherwise loose 280 MB / sec crawls with 40 MB / s rum. This is slightly more than USB 2.0, but can by no means in the context of USB 3.0 facility.
The reason I have not found out an error in my system I can rule, however. All other USB 3.0 devices (and which I have some) there run smoothly.
I will EasyAcc contact times on the subject. The stroke should already can do what is in the product description. Maybe there is a firmware update?
I already use some products of EasyAcc and appreciate the value for money there very. With this device, but I am not 100% satisfied. Pity!
