Here bought the machine in November after much research on Amazon. Fast delivery, well packaged, supplied in order. One should be aware that the version offered here does not contain a milk container and no chrome surround for the outlet. Not so bad ...
When preparing milk foam, the machine began to repeatedly pull air somewhere and then distribute this air / milk mixture all over the kitchen: After a short time the first trouble came. So the Melitta support contacts. After only one day came the recall. Respect! So of the problem, the only tip that could give me the good woman was "Buy yourself to a milk container". At first I felt a bit ridiculed, have the tank then still bought because eh walked me to the Tetrapak's nerves.
After a short time then came the milk container and the problem was .... still there ... and as if it was no coincidence came after a short time the next problem: The machine began during grinding, the ground coffee throughout the machine distribute. After 3-4 covers it trickled merrily on the side door of the machine. If you have taken out the brewing unit, could then first vacuum the kitchen. Excellent! So again contacted the support and get told that I need to send the machine to Bielefeld. So this delicate piece of modern technology gehieft into the box and delivered to postal. So who is telling the machine would be clunky, who has not yet dragged the box around the city! I think Ikea has approximately the same carton size for the Ektorp couch.
After one week, the machine came back ... Allegedly repaired. Unpacking, setting turned on and tested ... not resolved Error! And as a "treat" it was also bruised all over (allegedly damaged in transit) and the pump has made such a Hilti rotary hammer drill with 20 in reinforced concrete noises during brewing.
Well well, so again contacted the Support ... Answer: sending machine. So the heavy-duty crane brought from the cellar and the thing dragged again to the post office. A delight!
As a "priority" in the machine came back quickly. The scratched parts were replaced, but on arrival were slightly scratched (despite original packaging). The powder is distributed still kicking around and now the point comes where I have chosen here times to write a review. It comes only from time to time coffee from the spout! Most of the time makes it only once briefly "pfff" (as if a pressure relief valve opens) and the brown gold flows merrily in the drip tray ... There it strikes the already waiting misguided coffee. Meanwhile, make the brewing unit sounds like an old fishing boat in the wind. Meanwhile, I could every sound effect studio to compete.
Conclusion: machine has basically never works 100%, was twice sent and came twice yet broken back. Who I want to give this debt, I do not know. Melitta is the device ultimately to only one service provider to Bielefeld and this it does not get back the machine to actually repair.
All in all, I'm curious how the fun now continues. Meanwhile, I have canceled my gym membership. I just support the machine regularly to the post office, which is just as effective and does not cost any money - only time and nerves.
If the device is working properly, it may be worth the money. But alas, it is something with it. Then the trouble is due to the poor support (other reviews here on Amazon and confirmed in various' forums the) pre-programmed.
Finally, a few general words about the device:
- I like the design, but the materials are very cheap - not a hint of "Premium coffee machine"
- The service is okay. Sometimes the keys do not respond correctly. Annoying if you just quickly still wants to change the amount of coffee or starch and the button only responds when the process is already virtually completed
- The taste and the temperature of the drinks are definitely in order.
- The rollers, which are mounted to the rear underside, are a good thing
- The two bean containers do not make much sense, because you need at least 2-3 remuneration until the machine practically changed
