Mellow Prog

English Electric Part 2 (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Part 2 has become very melodic. Those looking for Genesis bonds here from the early years of the Prog, will not find it. For BBT write too many hooks that go into the ear so that they could be because already almost be called "earwigs".

The opener with about a quarter of an hour in length has already kneel such a hook in the chorus for. The following piece of "Swan Hunter" even goes one better, and stuck firmly to your synapses like chewing gum. "Worked out", the third song is also highly melodic, but at very high levels. "Leopards" should not have been, but, fortunately, is also just 3 minutes. For me this song is the only negative moment on the CD. "Keeper of Abbey" is simply awesome with a wonderful accordion. Also the following piece "The permanent way" maintains the exceptional level without any problems, change the rhythm several times in the song, and Andy Tillison as a guest musician can really let off steam on the organ. Finally then "Curator of butterflies". Again melody is announced, a great chorus.

All instruments are genuine, not sampled. I like when the winds of course very, everything seems organic. The violins, cellos and viola course, which is expensive and complicated. But with such an album, does it all paid, and I am glad that there are musicians who take this risk. Strong buy recommendation for fans of melodic, upscale Prog without too much Gefrickel.
