Although I am just over 25 (26), I ordered the small version and bigger they should not really be - should his "spaciousness" apparently trying to assess themselves and only then guided by the benchmarks. I immediately cut the stem at least after the first launch attempt because he was otherwise always felt. It has no function in any case, since you can not pull out of his cup. The cup holds so completely sealed, even while bathing and sleeping and you do not feel.
When I wanted to remove the first time again, I am almost desperate because I have not managed to solve the vacuum. I also realized that as much vacuum it was that the cup had not even quite fully deployed in me. After a few tries and a few obligatory relaxation breaks in between the thing was out there again and I first totally skeptical. I watched the video on afriska.ch again carefully and found that I let the cup too late, so that it has just not fully unfold until it has sucked up. Since then I have them after about 1cm going, it unfolds and can then bring to the right place quickly and easily. To remove only the compression of the lower tip is really necessary. Here, too, went with me so far nothing dabenen.
Advantages over tampons:
- No unpleasant waste (also ecological aspect!), No annoying tapes
- No TSS-risk, no bleached and otherwise treated fuzzy cotton
- No drying out of the mucous membrane suitable (+ no burning during insertion), thus also for very weak days and discharge
- Reusability, no follow-up costs
- Up to 12 hours wearing time (on peak days to get but maybe that's not out)
There are also disadvantages:
- Go you need a toilet as possible, on which you can sit down (disinfectant wipes!), Because a relaxed attitude is here, at least for less experienced beneficial
- Sink in the cabin necessary (in an emergency you can stop the empty cup only briefly, for once not a doomsday)
- Removing a matter of practice, with the right gimmick but as soon as the pad (perhaps helping my tip from above yes the one or the other)
In any case I wonder why we hear so little of menstrual cups. Perhaps because not much money can be made so due to lack of follow-up costs. All that I have asked have never heard of it and find the idea of somehow strange.
My conclusion: I should have the discover much earlier!
