The stories in this collection are like the corner of nature they evoke, they are steep, sliced, cold, no frills. Sometimes there has to be a litany of paragraphs with sub repeated titles, which show recurring events ("accidents" with hooks) in different circumstances. The presence of cold, dogs, all of these animals in the wild that inhabit this corner of the world make an impression of immensity like an endless landscape. There is talk of new but often found people mentioned above.
Writing is adapted to the text, it can be precise and poetic, occasionally stripped with finesse. Or downright gross stripping and breath away.
It is a small book that shows surprising that the author still has room for improvement.
