To upgrade my old PC with USB3.0 I ordered the PCI Express card from CSL. Delivery as always without any problems. Unfortunately, the picture is deceptive something. Actually thought that the externally visible area (the sheet where the USB 3.0 ports sit) black or at least anthracite. The panel, however, is in the normal computer silver, so watch out! Installation is no problem, just plug power connector and plug on the motherboard in a suitable PCI slot = ready. Then install in the Device Manager and the drivers from the CD. After successful installation Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller and a new Unknown Device Appears in Device Manager. The driver for the unknown device sitting in the same directory on the supplied CD. If all goes well, then will be displayed after installing the Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Root Hub in Device Manager. And then you can start already. Since the figure in the color deceives (not black), there are only 4 stars ....
Update 10:02:14: Had problems with my internal card reader of I-Tec and the CSL map. The USB 3.0 front connection did not work so well. After a long search on the internet I found out that the drivers on the accompanying CD (version 3.0.23.0) is indeed currently, but unfortunately no current firmware is included. For me, the 2006 version was in the delivery state. So on the page "[...]" downloaded the latest firmware (version 2024) and installed. Now everything works with my card reader. Due to lack of current firmware on CD there are only 2 stars
