Angetestet I DVD (ISO image and IFO / VOB), MKV and AVI files. My files have transferred so far worked well. Special focus was on the .ts files my satellite receiver (UFS822), which were unfortunately rather uncomfortable to handle. Although he plays them with the previous rewinding is the weak point considerably. However Remux the files with ProjectX then led to a useful result.
Had the device connected to a server via a LAN (no streaming, file sharing only), all getesten files were easily over days.
I especially enjoyed the ergonomic remote control that fits comfortably in your hand and a pleasant feeling conveyed keys.
What I did not like, and has thus led to the sum to be returned:
- The remote control contains no dedicated buttons for example, image rotate, DVD menu access, audio / UT-switching, etc. Everything has to be selected via the menu or submenu.
- After switching from the standby (overnight) it seemed again that the device no longer responded to the FB. It had to be unplugged.
- No SD card reader
Possible no volume control via FB: Killer Criterion 1 for ME -
- Killer Criterion 2 for me only stand possible, resulting in a continuous consumption of about 5W with appropriate heat. In operation, the device needs about 1W more. Angebl. be it indeed possible to create a "deep standby" by pressing the Standby button> 3s - for me that is not really practical, especially since it outside is no control on the device to recognize what state it is because now is ,
I forgive three stars because I liked the device has to be, but unfortunately the important things for me remained partly on the track. In particular, the post-standby Freeze and the lack of volume control are for me a "no-go".
Now I have a Netgear NTV550. Although this is not exactly brilliant (there is cooked only with water, and in some cases even more "fast food" instead of "star kitchen"), is even a bit worse with the bugs fixed .ts files, but offers in sum up for me "less bad" Total Package (the term "better" I do not want to use). For those interested, YouTube and various other online features to work when NTV550 NOT, although fiercely advertised..
