My Weigh Vox 3000 (model 2011)
The model can weigh up to 3 kg. It has four buttons, on, off, tare and to switch between metric and English units. The display is not lit and can not be read in low light conditions particularly well. The delivery is still a perfect fitting bowl but rather low margin included. The pronunciation of the instrument for me is very clear and easy to understand, you see times on the fact that some figures are very stressed about clear or false. On changes in the applied weight, the balance responds very quickly and very accurately compared with a "normal" kitchen scale. My Weigh Vox 2
The first model is distinguished visually from its predecessor. The buttons are rubberized and now much larger, the assignment of the keys is the same. The reaction times of the scale have become significantly slower compared to the Vox 3000. In general I have noticed that the balance but sometimes very inaccurate or erratic. So it often happened that I have weighed a certain amount and after adding a very small amount of excessive weight change was indicated by the scale. Also, the weight changed occasionally when the scales just a little longer unnoticed had that balance constantly says then new values, but usually only in the range of +/- 1 - move 5 grams. After some time I then was not really sure if the hip weight actually corresponds to what was on the weighing surface. The weighing platform of Vox 2 is actually square, it is also not a weighing container supplied. After a short time the scales suddenly began to produce unrealistic measurements and would not stop even after removing the batteries. A look into the Manual showed that you can re-calibrate the balance. But this it is necessary to place a reference weight on the weighing surface, corresponding to the maximum permissible weight of the scale, which are at the Vox 2 whopping five kilograms. Now sure, not everyone has an extensive arsenal at home to reference weights, I have resorted to a 5 kg weight plates, but of which we know that they never weigh exactly five kilos. The subsequent comparison with the normal kitchen scale has shown that the deviations in the range are negligible up to 2 kg. After a few days, the balance began again to produce meaningless measurements and I should repeat the calibration process, which I then did not want to do longer and prefer to use my old model back to me, even if it was loaded only up to three kilos. In another review I read that the manufacturer gives 30-year guarantee on the device, I would have so I do not even have to buy a new device. I have the defective Vox 3000 sent to the German importer and asked for replacement, this hit after about a week at me.
My Weigh Vox 3000 (model 2014)
The balance corresponds to the optical model of 2011. Unfortunately, the interior was renewed and the scale corresponds with regard to their behavior in the use of Vox 2. So that means that here too long reaction times and inaccurate, erratic measurements are an everyday occurrence. This model combines thus the disadvantages of the other two models in itself, namely the spartanischere design, the small, unlit display and the deteriorated software.
Conclusion
Currently I kan actually recommend any of the currently available devices. The Vox 3000 of 2011, I was really pleased and never had the impression that it provides different and inaccurate results, which was also verified by occasionally Meßvergleiche with other scales. Neither the Vox 2 nor the new model of Vox 3000 can keep this good impression. I therefore reach especially in smaller quantities more frequently to a standard scale, their legibility is however cumbersome and tiring for me.
Much praise must go but, despite all the criticism of the staff of Nohlex, the dealer who sold the My Weigh scales here on Amazon. The replacement of equipment was always easy and worked quickly and easily. The same applies to the importer who takes over the exchange after the end of the warranty period, My Weigh granted yes a significantly longer product warranty period than usual.
