The lamp was mounted by us on a mirror on the frame. They can be mounted on a variety of ways, as can be seen also on the product images here on Amazon. The light is really nice light and provides sufficient light for all activities which are against such a mirror so hires. Stylish, modern and timeless part. A little fiddly was mounting. The wiring takes place in a fairly small junction box, since manual dexterity is required. If a fault develops the complete lamp needs to be replaced. But it makes a high impression and I am assuming that we will last a lifetime at the light. If not followed by an update of the review.
