More than just a game! 1

So much to say about LA Noire I do not know where to start! I propose to discuss different points of the game and comment.

Gameplay

The game has 21 investigations of which 17 really important. I will describe a mission "type". The investigation begins with the arrival on the scene where you have to inspect the body of the victim and the countryside. It generally result of this step the identity of the corpse. You will then visit with relatives of the victim (family, work, recently visited locations) to search the premises and interrogate people. According to the answers they give you, you can decide to believe, to doubt their words or to accuse them of lying. Adopt the right approach can significantly advance the investigation. Characters scenarios.

Some surveys are exciting and have nothing to envy to the best cop shows! Coherent plot, interesting characters: you never get bored! The surveys have the advantage of being very varied (murder, fire, overdose ..) and we offer a range of characters: naive young actress, venal woman jazz junkies, shady real estate agent. We feel that Rockstar has worked his characters in depth. The hero, Cole Phelps, who returns from the war victorious, decorated with medals. Phelps is very discreet about his family and his past. It is only through flashbacks between every mission that we discover his warriors facts. However throughout the game, bark crumbles and we discover the Phelps man with weaknesses. Similarly, his teammates, though secondary, are endearing, all with their own personality.
Finally it should be noted that behind EVERY character, there is an actor! The faces and their expressions are extremely realistic, it is not better today, and thus increase the immersion in the game.

Ambience

Lovers of postwar America will be served. The atmosphere of the time and this is perfectly transcribed in every detail: advertising, cars, clothing, interior decoration etc .. We like to discover Los Angeles 1947.
Furthermore, the game does not lie us on American society and shows us social contrasts: we will go on both Hollywood Bvd. tramps in camps. The "American Dream" takes some beating in the face! It really feels like a film noir of the period, the game title will perhaps reference ... All accompanied on a superb soundtrack ... what to say?

Side missions

I said: in town you can not do anything. The game offers so many ancillary tasks.
1. The 40 offenses
During the mission, a call center will notify you of a crime takes place in the city. You are free to intervene in town. The crimes often lead to prosecution or races shootings. The offenses allow the game to bring the action "pure" let off some steam between "intellectual" investigations.
2. The Newspapers

CONCLUSION:
LA Noire is a gem. Characters, script, soundtrack: very few things are wrong on all these topics. LA Noire is a game that brand. Although I finished for some time, I still play it again. By having the right approach during interrogations, people reveal things that we had not managed to get in the first game session. Lanoire a game to discover and rediscover!
