What I particularly like about the camera, was really good 5-Axis Image Stabilization. My previous camera was a Lumix G6, which had not integrated. Furthermore, was the Mark 2 my first Olympus. The difference is considerable. Since then I have the camera, makes it even more fun to take pictures at night, since no large losses 1. higher ISO values are possible, and 2. because the image stabilizer and a low shutter speed can be selected. Even with a shutter speed of 1/2 seconds only, I have shot a sharp photo with urban night lighting at City Hall.
Another feature that I really like, is the high-res shot mode. With which one can shoot 40 MP (JPEG) or 64 MP (RAW). Unfortunately, it is only from the tripod useful and, indeed, only static subjects. But this is not a drawback for me personally. If I need more MP in the street photography, I of course would bring me another camera. But so it suits me very well. The results are remarkable. Two times I have photographed the same yard on my doorstep. Once with 16 MP and one time with 40 MP. Wow, I can only say! Because it does make the same fun in the images purely to zoom and enjoy the details.
Overall, the Mark 2 really works very, very valuable! The Lumix G6 is no comparison. Also the grip and the power battery are very valuable. This I have indeed ordered the same. The button on top of the camera are very well positioned. It is a pity that the power switch is positioned to Mark 1 While at a better place in the Lumix G6 liked the location but better. On the right side on the mode dial. So I was able to single-handedly turn the camera on, a photo shoot and off again (if needed). Now I need two hands. Also not a big drawback and better than its predecessor.
The camera I can eigtl. Anyone who wants anyway a new MFT camera wanted to bring up. Whether someone should upgrade to a Mark 1, I can not judge because I have so far only considered the Mark 1 time a consumer electronics retailer in hand. However, the handling like it a lot better. At times, the Mark 2 has a fold-out screen, which can also be paid (as in the Lumix G6), which I really like!
The HighRes feature will certainly appeal to everyone, the landscapes, stills and products photographed. The Image Stabilizer has allowed me many photos and a longer shutter speed of up to 1/2 seconds from his hand.
The camera is very valuable and just 1099 totally justified in introducing. There are still so pending some tests in the next few days, but so far I do not see what I regret my purchase of the camera, the brains and the power batteries.
Strong buy recommendation!
