It is the second book by Leonard that I have read, and the first in the original. A very good detective story with a good felling Western. Leonard writes that I had the impression a film run from in front of me. The figures are drawn up alive. Some me is the casting in mind. A laconic book that anyway, or perhaps because of mood and character very much alive brings over. The story is made refined as an episodic film, which brings together all the strands at the end and brings together. There is fortunately no psychological explanations or old traumas that break and lead to crime. Figures and activities are clearly and precisely drawn and act consistently and logically, sometimes very harsh and brutal, but never for any compulsive inclinations or because they are psychopaths. It must be level and view the figure as to achieve the goal that she has in mind. Very refreshing compared to just modern psycho-thrillers. That no conspiracy exists, but only usual greedy capitalists, is also encouraging. The laconic language that draws a directly into the environment is great and very accurate. In the original, this is for people who read little English, which is perhaps a bit exhausting. I also took some time until I was in the duct inside. But it's really an exciting, well-to-read novel.
