-Kaufgrund Value for money:
Actually, to me, the 640 is a bit too large. But the alternative (Lumia 530, etc.) I liked them personally, as they have no flash and especially, too small a memory. As I come to the 720 of 512MB of RAM, I know what mean app load times or App Abrüche. Especially the last WP8 update had brought in this regard a lot of negatives with it. The 1GB of memory is there a significant difference, which can be already identified solely in testing at a local electronics discounter. I'm not a user who has a lot of games on his cell phone, but WhatsApp, Skype and Messenger walk with me always.
- Missing Home Button
I regret partly because I never understood why MS does not use the opportunity to use their logo as a notification led. This opportunity they give now more so. However, this solution is to distances considerably better than it had solved the Lumia 625, where unlit sensor keys were fitted under the screen and it was a challange, this meeting in the dark. Here the home bar is wiped clean if necessary, where it is now almost always appears with me.
- Blidschirm "view"
A strange attempt by MS, to compensate for missing BenachrichtigungsLEDs. I have hardly used on my Lumia720, since it clearly called on battery power. In contrast Lumia640 I can determine no significant battery consumption. Here however a deterioration in use. Why ?:
My "view" on the Lumia720 I could better individualize and me z.Bsp. can also display the date. Is no longer at 640 !? The 720 had a proximity sensor, which was also used for views. A short Wink übern screen and view was activated. Now the camera seems to be used as a proximity sensor, because there is no "real" seems to be built more. The result: Not every Handwink is recognized by 640. Only when I think about 3-4 seconds hand to the camera and take away, to view activated. In such an effort you can also press a button.
Most, however, bothers me the view that he is somehow always active. I'm missing a setting "event", ie view is only activated when a call or message input has been registered and can then be adjusted over time idividuell. This means that the phone can stand in its holder and the pass you can see if you have missed something, without being as stupid waving his cell phone or have to push a button. But unfortunately this is at WP the negative sides ...
Battery life:
As with any smartphone heavily dependent on the user. In my case WhatsApp, Skype and Messenger running in the background. Emails are checked everything 2 hours wifi, data and location always on, and all other apps were blocked from me for background use. Gelegendlicher sending messages, a few phone calls and some Google Search or Maps Search consume me about 25% battery in 24 hours. So power calculation 4 days ago, where I manage a maximum of 3 days and do not want to leave the house with 25% battery. The well 30 minutes constant internet surfing wifi can already cost well 10-20% battery. Nevertheless, enough battery power are also available for power users, to survive a 8-12 hour workday.
- DualSim
Some may complain that you when making calls on a Sim on the second can not be reached. Since I disabled etc with me waiting, I do this all right. Especially since I know that I'm a beginner / middle class cell phone have here, for that I did not have to pay big bucks. So I can not expect any premium features.
Otherwise I like the general clarity how everything has been solved. I can display separate telephone and SMS buttons or summarize this. With each call or SMS transmission is always displayed, on which SIM what is happening without having to always be followed by an additional answer-question game. Ex .: The send button for sending SMS has a small "1" or "2" implemented. The Android Phone a friend is not so clear (Alcatel One). Unfortunately I have not found a way, SIM2 assigned its own color. This was determined by the system and I would have liked to change. But that's now time bitching at a high level ...
- Screen
Seems brighter and detalierter than in 720. In any case, however, it has a higher resolution, because the tiles are now smaller than the 720, but instead of 3- 2 rows. Was dramatic for me a little getting used to, but do not. Only the smallest tile size I use now barely. The screen is evenly lit (unlike 625) and adapts with automatic Helligikeit well the environment. Even when the sun shines, I can see everything well and do not feel blinded me in the dark.
Conclusion: I am very satisfied with the purchase and would bring me the Lumia640 DS when needed. What I still lack: A simple LED for notifications, as with all WP's and a real Querztastertur as in Noika E72. Otherwise, you can make the current pabulum of the glass pane with the phones Lumia640 not much wrong. Especially at this price.
