moving, funny, smart

I bought this book for my child because I remember when I was a little girl, there was a cartoon "Daddy Long Legs" which was on television. Although not having watched little is what attracted me and decided to purchase.
I've started reading yesterday in the afternoon ... and I finished that night. I really wanted to know the result, and then the end absorbed by the style of the book, full of spirit side of the author.
The book, which looks like an epistolary novel is no doubt that in the end, there is no dull moment.
We spend 4 years of education of the girl with fluidity, living with it every time student life, with his questions, his first love and this persistent secrecy that hangs throughout the novel and is not revealed at the end.

The story takes place in the US, there are some cultural references related to the girl studies (which may make you want to discover some works of British literature). It's always interesting to take.

I was really excited about this reading. The author is the niece of Mark Twain, author of Tom Sawyer; we find the same freshness in their works.
