In many reviews on this board I read criticism about the stylistic change / evolution of the band. My first song I've heard from the four from Chicago was "The Phoenix" and anschießend the previous album "Save Rock'n'Roll". Then I've been listening to older stuff and so I will not really warm. Will say ... the development of a band is normal and always alienated some fans, but wins most added new .... But now to the album, the 5th regular studio album, I have eagerly awaited it and was not disappointed. 11 songs have draufgepackt the guys. that is not but has outstanding quality for a huge density. The first single "Centuries" is super chosen because it represents what makes all this CD. Fat, anthemic, modern, catchy. For a change, this time is taken care of. There Stampfer as just "Centuries", "Immortals" (which is also used for the soundtrack of "Baymax") or the opener "Irresistible". a plethora great midtempo numbers such as "The Kids Aren`t Alright" (Excellent for whistle along) remain or "Favourite Record" hanging in the ear immediately. The quietest song on the album is probably "Fourth Of July" is not a pure ballad but that thus missing this time. There are also two absolute full power numbers. "American Beauty / ..." and "Novocaine" are like a shot from the hip ... brutal and unrestrained! Please do not listen to the highway! Blitzer thunderstorms guaranteed! And all this is over, at least for me, "Uma Thurman" !!! The upper Kracher on this board! The song puts everything in ruins! Super fat, eats with a freaky Hook and a chorus of inevitably in`s brain and maltreated you nonstop. The funky text is the icing on. The production is very good, because beautiful bold. For me, it might still be a bit punchier, but such a thing is indeed always a little taste. So an absolute buy recommendation from me! Hear it loud and have fun !!!
