- = BLU-RAY BURNING = -
I wanted to copy a movie from HDD to Blu-ray (BD).
Note that I am beginning with Second, revealed only later.
(2) [Function Menu] - [Video Copy] - [Kopiermenu] - [Copy Direction HDD -> BD] - BD (TDK 4x) in's drive inserted
... At this point it did not go further, despite studying the operating instructions. After unplugging the power cord, and several changes to the menu "contents on HDD" and "Copy Video" was suddenly in Copy menu on and he burned the BD. Mind fomatieren without first! Mir is a complete mystery ...
Now I wanted the second BD burning: Same procedure as in (2) according to the direction of copying option it went no further. Instead, a message window appeared: Unable to copy. The disc format. Clicking [OK], the window was closed. This information is obviously quite sufficient for Panasonic. Even the manual helps here no further!
If you want to copy to a BluRay something one begins differently:
(1) - Empty BD just load, then a message box appears with choices for "Blu-ray Disc Management".
Note: This is achieved via the [Function Menu], [media], [BD / DVD].
In the next window is a button [Format Disc] available. Only after clicking this button takes place to point out that a format for describing the disc is required. This information would be more useful in the previous window! One of the following message window is when using a BD-R complete nonsense, even more confusing: The data on the disc are deleted ?! After formatting the BD appear options that include a PC user before formatting: "Disc Name", "finalizing". If the inserted BD-R is still to be described, the menu at this point by pressing the [Return] key to leave.
Then continue with (2). Now the manual of the equipment is useful again.
- = CHANNEL SORT = -
Also during the sorting of the found TV / radio stations, the manual is completely overwhelmed. It's just a sort of Favorites explained.
And so the stations are re-sorted to the presets:
[Function Menu], [Settings], [Basic], [DVB Tuning], [Channel List]
[Red button] = Numeric / alphabetical order
Move [Green Button] = transmitter
[Yellow button] release = space / lock (with locks, storage space will be skipped when zapping)
[Blue button] = Category
- For better orientation in the sorting should be set to numeric using [Red button].
- Select to move memory and [green key] key. Either via the number keys to enter the new location and press [OK] or use the [Arrow up] - move the transmitter or [Arrow down] key.
Note: make sure before moving the presets that "All DVB Channels" is set (about [Blue button]) in the window header.
Another note to blanks:
The manual can be seen that PLUS blanks are supported. This is strongly discouraged! Panasonic was the development of minus blanks with involved (see information on the Web). That should be a compelling justification for the preference of minus blanks. Examples: BD-R, DVD-R, DVD-RW
Blanks as BD + R, DVD + R, DVD + RW are indeed untertützt, a function there is no guarantee, however.
The review "three stars" is by no means a depreciation of the equipment. It should apply to the producers as a motivation, that there is still potential for improvement. In terms of the functionality of the device is a quality product and is expected to remain long-term unmatched.
