although there is now more plastic than metal in the new Sony device, it does not demerit on its capabilities and performance
say that 95% of video formats are supported and played without any worries (Divx, Xvid, MP4), connectivity to the multitude of internet services is maddening videos (youtube, netflix, Sony SEN, etc ....)
upscaling works very well with DVDs and without complex and risky settings, however the quality of the image that will result will always depend on the original DVD
the accuracy of the image of the 1080p Blu-Ray is striking, 4K must go further (unfortunately impossible for me to test, no TV 4K)
the deck offers a multitude of settings that even without being too complex, to adapt the operation to his taste (image, sound) and its equipment
the small detail that could pass for a default for some: no optical output for home theater sound, just a coaxial output but not as demerit
we still note the double possibility of network connection: RJ45 wired or Wi-Fi (very efficient incidentally!)
Sony has done a great job to improve latency startup and navigation, here with the BDP-S6200, just 20 seconds maximum to start viewing the film
the unit only generates little noise from the drive for a few access after during the movie is total silence !!
